AAR : PINE FRONT

OPERATION EXECUTED 19 JULY '03

SCENARIO -
This OP recreated a day of Naval Special Operations Forces in a combat zone, opposed by a well trained local Philippine rebel group. Both forces were tasked to establish a firebase, post guards, conduct patrols, and execute specific combat missions, including planning and rehearsal.

This OP was like no other. The entire day was spent in the field under live combat conditions. Every warrior had to pack everything needed for the entire operation, march it to their firebase, and carry it out at the end of the mission. There were no breaks in the operation; there was even combat during lunch.  It was the most physically challenging OP of the year.
