Op Scenario - About 25 kilometers from your position,
Operation: Sharp Edge is underway, and US Marines are evacuating Monrovia, Liberia
and protecting the American embassy in Monrovia. All
around you, civil war is raging between rival Liberian factions, and the safety
of American citizens can no longer be guaranteed.
Liberian insurgents, under orders from their leader, have begun
to round up foreigners and transport them to remote jungle compounds, this will
force foreign intervention in their fight against the Liberian President. The
insurgents have placed hundreds of IEDs (improvised explosive devices) over
the entire jungle area to their southwest between Totota and Monrovia, where
they are lying in wait for US forces. Given the opportunity, the insurgents
will move to the southwest toward Monrovia.
A special Marine unit must move to the northeast of Monrovia and
eliminate the hostile forces and take Totota. They must prevent the insurgents
from reaching Monrovia at all costs, but first, EOD Marines must clear a substantial
field of IEDs, and only then move to the northwest. Read more about LIberian
