BECOMING A CIMMERIAN If you wish to participate as a guest in a Cimmerian operation, you must have a current Cimmerian sponsor you. This means that that Cimmerian will fight side-by-side with you at the operation and show you the ropes of Cimmerian re-enactment. If you do not personally know a Cimmerian, you may contact Cimmerian Command (CIMCOM) and request an interview. After your initial interview, if CIMCOM decides that you might be Cimmerian material, you will be assigned to a Cimmerian sponsor, and you will be invited to the next operation. Once you have participated in Cimmerian operations and got to know a few of the senior Cimmerians, you can ask to be nominated. After this nomination you are expected to attend three consecutive Cimmerian operations. This will give you a chance to get to know the other Cimmerians, and will allow Cimmerian members and CIMCOM staff to see if you have what it takes to join the organization. During this probationary 3-operation period, you will be assigned to a Cimmerian squad along with your sponsor. After you have participated in 3 consecutive operations and are approved by Cimmerian members and CIMCOM staff, you may request to become a full member. All honorable Cimmerians stand ready and at your service to work with you before each operation should you need assistance or advice with gear or other equipment.
